A lot of Frills... Not Enough Thrills
hard to find parking in mission beach, but this place isn't hard at all cuz it's all green..
they have a lot of giveaways and happy hours but i don't know about their bud selection and quality..
if you're a really tall person, you better watch out when you walk into the bud room cuz the ceiling is low.. also, the bud case is on a lowered floor, so you have to kneel down to look at the bud because nothing is out on top..
bought hindu kush and spun a free edible.. not bad
i rated the compassion low because it was my first time in there, and the budtender tried picking out buds to weigh out exactly a gram and couldn't get it right, so instead of hooking me up a lil fat, she gave me .99.. I thought my eyes were deceiving me so I leaned in to look closer and it was .99... Lame!!
the edibles looked good.. i'll have to update this post and talk about them when I try some.
Sums of Beaches
I like things that are different and this place is a trip.
Given that, I would guess that it's not for everybody and I'll get to that when it comes. Getting to the place is a task as it's almost exactly between Belmont Park and Grand Ave. The means the area is just under 300m between water and that makes parking a serious task if you don't live local. Once you land, things certainly get better as the reception is just about perfect! The guard/receptionist is always chillin' but he's observant, to this I testify. He helped me along with signing in and was soon making my way into the bud.. room?? Hey, this place is awkward in a heartbeat, lol. The level that the budtender stands on is about a foot lower than the customer, like reverse pharmacy?wtf? So, they have a chair if you want to be eye level. I have seen people standing so I suppose it doesn't bother the tender either way.
It's quite a view, with plenty of pretty flowers to look at including an array of clones bearing great genetics. Their supply is progressing towards a "one-stop" joint for your medicating needs. They have some decent glass of many varieties and sizes, notably are their frosty pipes that would fit one of the cozzies they have as well. I've picked up a new mini-bubbler for 20 and a roller for cheap too. Papers, wraps, all sorts of anything for just blazing in any situation.
They feature a solid selection of staple strains and some rather rare ones. What I did not like was that the prices were above 40 for outdoor 8ths. I would have gone with a selection but rather not have a harsh go. What was left was quite choice, so ups for having DANK.
Headband rocks super-stoney style, pumping out some indica smoke that helps with relaxing and appetite.
Purple Dream is the shit! Destroys reality and slides you to sleep with it's easy, very-lavender flavor.
Grape Ape YES! Takes heat kindly and gives it right back with warm furry hands over your neck.
Afghani Kush was what I hoped it was, a stankified grip of calm and wild tea flavored smoke.
Snow Cap delivered a head spin with it's hybrid high that is usually throwin in with sativa (like White Widow).
Alaska Thunder is a bit more mild but probably the best wake and bake option to get your day rolling with a roar.
What I don't like is all the little things adding up. Lots of things were done with good intent but the execution was flawed. A free lighter, but it's not a bic.. some wax line, that smells funny.. bundle deal, that doesnt save much.. great location, death in traffic.
With a bit more time, they really can florish but this cat has too many burs in his paw to be rushing back here..
